I have noticed that there is a way of cheating.
Yesterday, I caught a player offsides by giving a hard count. After I snapped the ball and the flag was thrown for offsides, I took a deep shot because it’s a free play.
When I took that shot downfield, the other player took his corner and tackled my receiver on his route. The game did not call pass interference because it had already called offsides. So, instead of me getting the ball at the 1 yard line (the interference was in the end zone) I was only able to accept the offside penalty for 5 yards.
Something to keep in mind if you are caught in that situation, because I will surely use it to my advantage in the event of somebody drawing me offsides.

Seriously how do you do this cheat crap? I can’t find anything on it on the internet but I just played a guy who had to be using cheats (I’ve been playing madden for years, I’m not a noob) and I’ve played other people who were doing the same things but I cant figure it out.
Also if you play someone with a bad internet connection it keeps lagging and then it screws up the game.
Also I’ve been beating 3 different lvl 21 players and everytime they challange a random play (one time it was a running play that there was no way should be chanllanged for any reason) in the first half and after it said play stands it said it lost the connection and I had to exit too without the option to keep playing. I checked my stats and I didn’t get a win either.
This has to be fixed!
DURING THE MADDEN SEASON, you can’t get any player you want on your team by a simple edit and trade.
!> 1. Find what player you would like to have or players.
!> 2. Then, click the player you want you will have a couple of options to choose from. CLICK EDIT !!
!> 3. Change the position of that player to the least valuable position of his status.
!> 4. Offer a team trade with a 7th round draft pick or a least value player for your wanted player.
!> 5. COMPLETE.!!!
wide recievers should be able to jump for the ball just like the corners, for some reason madden 2010 feels that recievers don’t jump for balls unless you stand directly in the circle, madden didnt use to be like that, the cornerbacks always shield off recievers and you cant do anything about it because your reciever only catches over the shoulder throws, THIS IS ********, FIX IT PLEASE!
Infranchise mode if you wait til the trade deadline some teams will trade you a first, second, and third round picks for just your first. You might have to check a bunch of teams, but it works. Then trade up after the season and get the first pick on the draft. Works every season.

I am trying to figure out for my husband what these people are doing when they play each other the other person pause the game for 3 minutes or so and then for some reason my husband just can play good anymore. so I am trying to figure out if they are cheating and how.

It took me two games with Madden “09″ to figure this out. I was playing a guy who paused the game for approximately 2 min and returned. At the beinging of the game we were about even played. After pausing the game and returing, he began to blow me out. Every time he touched the ball he ran 40 to 50 yards at a time. I was unable to stop his pass and run offense. I insitily figuered out what he did after looking it up online.
From the point on I have not played online, because if a person is going to cheat to win and can’t play like a man. whats that point of playing the game with them, I will just play the computer. So I hope this anwsers your question, Yes they are cheating.
How can you change an existing players rating?
The guys who pause the game for 2-3 minutes are not taking a bathroom break…they are cheating! They are going into the menu and resetting their skill levels. They are looking at your teams level and boosting theirs to get the advantage….if you see this happen, just go off line..it isn’t worth the trouble to counter them!
happened to me twice, then i figured it out. I thought my players were jet tired but not the case.

How do i get my team OVR rating higher? I play with the jets, last season they had a rate of 85. I went to Super bowl, and was actually able to improve my team with draft picks and a coaching staff…but i remained at 85???how do you get a high rate. My Def was #1 and should be 86 by themselves…LOL
