Its okay for me, I am a 49ers fan and we have two players rated high who can change the game, a MLB and a running back. I like to play franchise and after a few seasons of drafts and trades and playing to your teams strengths, none of these ratings will matter. I thought it was a game. An intense and deeply emotional game for some people, but just a game for sure.`

The saints are at the bottom of the list with the best offense in the league. AND how the hell can you give the seahawks who won 4 games the same rating as the dolphins who won 11. Dallas is over rated. the chargers the 4th best team???? they started 4-8 last year. the patriots didnt even go to the playoffs and somehow they are the best team in the game. this is fine for people who want to do franchise mode but it sucks ass for people who want to play for fun. panthers, ravens, falcons, and vikings all got gipped.

I think these ratings are full of ****! why in world are the patriots rated high they should be rated between 88 and 90!! Even the Chargers too!! They tend to choke in the playoffs and are rated 88 while they should at least be a 84!! BRING BACK THE NFL2K SERIES!!!!
These ratings are insane some of the best players in the game are not shown to be that and players who underperformed last season on the field get there ratings to be through the roof. Some rb’s have high ratings but the only reason they were any good was a line that opened wholes big enough to put an army through. For years this has happened. Shaun Alexander is a perfect example hutchinson leaves he sucks and the trend continues. Plain and simple it is stupid. They need more people who understand football to give ratings real scouts and people who know what they are talking about. And teams whose players didn’t play all season have incredible ratings while others in the same situation have the numbers go down the toilet. I don’t understand how a guy who graduated from ITT tech can sit and only look at numbers and rate players like they do. honestly the ratings are biased…new england is rated high year end and year out because of two people…moss and brady…and of course because of the biased opinion of those working on the madden project alot of other pats players end up over 90…fact of the matter is some of these ratings are bogus…miami is under rated seattle overrated…the only and i mean the ONLY team that i agree with on here is pittsburgh…oh and the teams in the 60′s i agree on those too lol im a rams fan and even i didnt expect to be a 66..more like a 60

As a Ravens fan and just a football fan in general , I’m aggravated by these ratings. Some of you guys are under the impression that EA doesn’t have people that know football but I am under a different impression. They know exactly what they are doing, at the end of the day it comes down to marketing and selling copies. So there ratings system basically comes down to a popularity contest!

falcons had the number 2 running game last year and only allowed 17 sacks which ithink was 6th best in the NFL and we have one of the worst O-Lines. mike peterson on the jags was an 89 and now he’s on the falcons and is an 80. I know they changed the ratings system and i like that not alot of teams are 90′s and everyone’s orund 80 but many teams got RIPPED.

Yeah some of these ratings are messed up. Yes I know I’m a Seahawk fan but this is not a biased opinion. 77 is accurate, we lost all our starting receivers, our quarterback, and two offensive lineman. How could anyone expect more than 4 wins? However, I do agree that the Dolphins and Buccaneers should be higher than the Seahawks.
The Cowboys should be lower. They have tons of talent, but NO chemistry whatsoever. Until they learn to play unselfish Football, Dallas won’t be seeing playoff victories for a while.
The ratings are based on assumptions of what the teams will do this year. These ratings aren’t too far off the superbowl odds either. People complainig about the Cowboys and Chargers ratings shouldn’t be. Both teams are stacked with talent across the board. And while both underachieved last year despite making the playoffs have yet to reach their ceiling which could very well be this year…
MyKey, I would agree. I think the Chargers rating is fair. I am also aware that the Cowboys are a very talented team. My issue is that the team ratings are based on how the teams will do this year, but player ratings aren’t. Why can’t EA find a middle ground between the player’s previous year, and their entire career. Matt Hasselbeck sucked it up last year. However, how well would any of you do if you had a bulging disc in your spine, a concussion, starting receivers, etc. It seem that they would know he’s better than an 84. I do like how they stretched the ratings this year though.
This next one is addressed to haha wow. You make good points, but the reason those three teams aren’t in the 80′s, is that the ratings have been stretched. So high seventies are actually the rough equivalent of the mid 80′s in the previous game.

Dolphins and the Ravens got majorly screwed with this years rating system. The Dolphins went 11-5 and swept the Bills. Yet the Bills are ranked higher and went 7-9 last year. People complain the Dolphins had a weak schedule, but guess what?? Our whole division had the same schedule. So if the patriots are 93 and they miss the playoffs shouldn’t the Dolphins be rated 99?? LOL JK but the rating system sucks I don’t think I’ll buy it till mid season, so the ratings are updated.
